It is no secret that during any given summer day most attic temperatures can actually reach temperatures well above 150 degrees F. It is for this reason just about every home has soffit ridge vent ventilation, this is called passive or convection ventilation, the theory being simply "hot air rises," unfortunately as most roofs will show for the vast majority of us, it simply doesn't work.
